Missouri Botanical Garden (MBG), easily located in the center of St. Louis, offers a variety of day camps for children. Designed to help children connect with the plant world, programs like "Summer Little Sprouts", which is for kids 2 to 3 years old, consists of hands-on activities, tunes, stories, and strolls in the garden. For children six to eight years old, MBG offers a program called the "Great Green Thumbs", which assists kids learn more about growing vegetables and flowers. Children will care and grow for their own plants. Camp sessions are from July 6 through July 9. A program for 9 to 11-year olds is "Garden Designers". In this weeklong day camp session (August 9 to August 13), children discover landscape planning and create their own garden areas, within the botanical garden.
